IT Consulting, Cloud & Cyber Security in Auckland & Across New Zealand
Cloud migration to the new AWS and Microsoft New Zealand regions, NZISM-aligned security, Privacy Act 2020 readiness, and senior engineering teams, led from Auckland and Sydney with delivery capacity in India.
In short: Kodeclust helps New Zealand organisations move to cloud with local data residency in the AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) region and Microsoft NZ North, secure their environments against the NZISM and the Essential Eight, meet Privacy Act 2020 obligations (including the new IPP3A rule in force since 1 May 2026), and scale delivery with pre-vetted senior engineers.
The frameworks and obligations we design for on every New Zealand engagement.
01
Privacy Act 2020
Notify the Privacy Commissioner and affected people of breaches likely to cause serious harm, ideally within 72 hours. The Act applies wherever your data is stored, including offshore cloud.
02
IPP3A (from 1 May 2026)
The Privacy Amendment Act 2025 now requires you to tell people when you collect their personal information indirectly, unless an exception applies.
03
NZISM
The NZ Information Security Manual is required for government agencies and encouraged for Crown entities, local government and the private sector.
04
NCSC Incident Reporting
CERT NZ is now fully integrated into the National Cyber Security Centre. Report incidents to the NCSC on 0800 114 115.
05
Onshore Cloud Regions
AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) opened September 2025 and Microsoft NZ North opened in 2024. Both run three availability zones in Auckland.
06
Sector Requirements
RBNZ BS11 outsourcing for banks, the Health Information Security Framework (HISF) and Public Records Act obligations.

Yes. Since the AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) region (ap-southeast-6) opened in September 2025 and Microsoft NZ North opened in Auckland in 2024, most workloads can run with New Zealand data residency. We design landing zones that keep data, backups and logs onshore where your obligations require it.
Yes. The Privacy Act applies to personal information held by New Zealand agencies regardless of where it is stored, so you remain responsible for keeping it secure, accessible and correctable. Breaches likely to cause serious harm must be notified to the Privacy Commissioner, ideally within 72 hours.
Yes. We align security controls to the NZ Information Security Manual (NZISM) and use the Essential Eight as a practical baseline, which New Zealand's NCSC also references. For Microsoft environments we can enable NZISM compliance policies in Defender for Cloud to monitor drift continuously.
Published 2026 NZ pricing is roughly NZ$80–$130 per user per month ex GST for managed support, and NZ$130–$220 for fully managed IT including security tooling and backup. A 15-person business typically budgets NZ$1,800–$2,700 a month. Check whether Microsoft 365 licences are included when comparing quotes.
Our Australian engagement leads are 2 hours behind New Zealand, so they share almost all of your business day. Engineers in our India centre work early shifts that overlap the New Zealand afternoon for standups and reviews, and the rest of their day is focused build time.
